1900's ALASKA RPPC Real Photo Postcards: IN COLOR VARIOUS LOCATIONS

$ 2.61

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

This is "new," very "old stock."  We purchased a huge lot (literally thousands) of photo postcards from an estate of a man who bought out a former early "General Store" DECADES ago.  These were for sale in that store way back in the early years of the 20th century.  Very interesting to us and, hopefully, to others as well.  Lots of history.  This group represented a few we picked at random related to Alaska. What is different about this group compared to earlier Alaska postcards is these are in color. You get 7 cards - in varying numbers according to how many I have.  At the top left are the Pinnacle Mountains (2). Upper row middle is the Muir Glacier (3). Upper row right is Inspiration Point showing Saw Tooth mountains (4).  Second row left is Steel Arch Bridge on the White Pass & Yukon Route (4). Second row right is Skagway, Alaska (2).  Third row left postcard is Sawtooth Mountains - White Pass & Yukon R.R. (2).  Last, the vertical right corner is the "Ball Grounds" Ketchikan, at high tide and at low tide (4) - clearly you could only play ball at low tide!  For a TOTAL OF 21 CARDS.  None was ever mailed.  All have the divided back.  Thanks for looking at my auction.
